Minimum Eligibility Requirements For All Employees:

  • Legal citizen of the United States
  • Minimum education level of high school graduate or G.E.D.
  • Honorable discharge from military service if applicable
  • Valid Florida driver’s license (limited minor infractions OK)
  • Never convicted of a felony or misdemeanor crime involving moral turpitude
  • Ability to read, write and understand English effectively as primary language
  • Computer literate; ability to use miscellaneous database, internet, and MS Word
  • Must have 20/20 vision (or corrected) and the ability to differentiate between standard colors
  • Must possess reliable transportation to and from place of assignment
  • Ability to work in adverse environmental conditions including outdoor assignments
  • Ability to work varied shifts including nights, as well as weekends and holidays
  • Ability to pass a drug screening prior to and during employment
  • Ability to pass a written employment examination

Dispatch Operator (BLOC):

  • Valide Florida Class D Security License required

(or active Federal or Florida Law Enforcement certification)

  • Experience in emergency services, security or alarm central station dispatch

Site Protection Officer:

  • Certified in advanced First Aid, CPR and AED
  • Ability to pass a written psychological examination
  • No criminal convictions (DUI arrests will not be considered)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an armed security officer
  • Valid Florida Class D and G Security licenses are required

(or active Federal or Florida Law Enforcement certification)

Patrol officer:

  • Certified in advanced First Aid, CPR and AED
  • Ability to pass a written a psychological examination
  • Valid Florida driver’s license with excellent driving record
  • No criminal convictions (DUI arrests will not be tolerated)
  • Valid Florida Class D and G Security licenses are required

(or active Federal or Florida Law Enforcement certification)

  • Completion of National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course (or comparable training)
  • At least one of the following law enforcement, military, or professional security experience and/or education:
  1. Certified experience as a police or corrections officer
  2. Law enforcement or corrections academy graduate
  3. Law enforcement cadet / Explorer program graduate
  4. College degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, security  or industry related field
  5. Military experience in law enforcement, corrections, special ops, or special forces
  6. Minimum of four years experience as a licensed, armed security officer or investigator
  7. Public safety experience such as fire fighter, EMT, paramedic, or code enforcement also considered

Investigations Agent:

  • Valid Florida Class C (or Class CC) and G Security Licenses are required
  • Valid Florida driver’s license with excellent driving record
  • No criminal convictions (DUI arrests will not be considered)
  • Completion of National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course (or comparable)
  • At least one of the following law enforcement, military, or professional security experience and/or education:
  1. Certified experience as a police or corrections investigator
  2. Military experience in law enforcement, criminal investigations, or intelligence
  3. Law Enforcement or personal protection training academy graduate
  4. Minimum of four years experience as a licensed, armed security officer, private investigator, firefighter arson investigator, or insurance fraud investigator
  5. College degree in criminal justice, criminology, law enforcement, private investigations, security or industry related field

Client Development:

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills to include public speaking ability
  • Innovative and forward thinking individual with a firm belief in the BLP mission and goals
  • Sales experience in BLP related services, or non-tangible products and services beneficial
  • computer skills should include; internet, Microsoft Office Suite, Vision, PowerPoint, Publisher
  • Crime prevention practitioner (CPP) or related certifications beneficial
  • Active or prior law enforcement and/or military experience preferred
  • Valid Florida Class D and G security licenses preferred
